Fayetteville, WV | Senior Portraits Alyssa Jones. WV Senior Portrait Photographer.

WV senior portraits by senior portrait photographer Chris Jackson. Alyssa Jones is a junior at Fayetteville High School and is a senior rep. for me at the Fayette County School. We were wanting to do a winter/snowy shoot and scheduled a day that we were suppose to see snow in the area. We didn't have much. We met up at Hawk's Nest State Park and went around some of the scenes there. She did a fantastic job, as did her mother who helped with reflecting light.

Fayetteville, WV | Senior Portraits, Jessie Hudspeth. WV Senior Portrait Photographer.

Jessie is a junior at Midland Trail High School in Hico. She is one of my senior reps. and wanted to get out and do a short shoot with her at Babcock State Park. One of my main goals for this session was to not include the Babcock Grist Mill in any images, but to work with the great pockets of scenes built by the CCC in the 1930s. Here are a few looks at some of my favorite images.

Morgantown, WV | Author Keegan Lester's book release at 123 Pleasant St. | WV Portrait Photographer

Poet Keegan Lester's book release for "this shouldn't be beautiful but it was & it was all i had so i drew it" at 123 Pleasant St. in Morgantown, W.Va. Lester is a good friend of mine and when asked to photograph his release I was more than willing. I spent some of my formal years shooting at 123 Pleasant St. and welcomed the idea of going back with a more developed style and, well, a few drinks. We also wanted to shoot a few portraits of him around town and at his grandmother's old home, where he spent many of his days on her brick porch listening to stories in Monongalia County.

These images are all shot on a Canon 5d MarkIV with either Canon 35mm f/1.4L or Sigma 85mm f1/4 ART. It was a fun evening with a lot of great artists.
