History documentary I produced/directed for BBC Four. It was one of 6 in a series that proved hugely popular and was re-shown on BBC Two and has been repeated several times since.

As history is a keen interest of mine and I have a great local knowledge of North East England I also researched a lot of this programme which included gaining special access to private archives.
