Jo Milne is one of the most inspirational people I have met. A video of her hearing for the first time went viral, I took her on a journey to see the sights and sounds of the North East & Cumbria before she loses her sight

Chun-chao and family

Chun-Chao was living and working in the North East when a blunder at immigration meant his passport was not stamped when he returned from a visit abroad. It sparked a Kafkaesque train of events in which he was threatened with deportation because the authorities would not believe he was in the country all along and hadn't breached his visa requirements. We forced the powers that be to put their mistake right.
